At The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy we run an accessible and very well researched hypnotherapy training programme. The training is based on modern psychological approaches to hypnosis and particularly integrates CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) with hypnotherapy in our own proprietary model known as Hypno-CBT®.
On completing the course you are awarded a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.
You don't need to know anything about CBT or hypnosis to take the training - we make it very accessible (therapy should be common sense and relatively jargon free anyway).
Experienced therapists, counsellors, nurses or CBT pracitioners will find the course invaluable in training how to deeply integrate hypnotherapy into existing therapy models (especially CBT).
The course covers theory and history - however the majority of the focus is on practical application, clinical skills, treatment programme design and learning the practical skills of inducing hypnosis, writing and giving hypnotic suggestions and also using hypnosis for exposure therapy reconditioning (psychobiological re-education).
